Man, this year has flown by…
Every year, I think about how it’s only January and there is so much to do and I have so much time to get things done this year.
And then I blink and it’s November again…wow…
I can only imagine that when you have little ones, the time goes even faster!
November absolutely reminds me of Thanksgiving and the holiday reminds me of all of the good things in my life. Despite the bad things, I know that there is something for which I can always give thanks.
I haven’t talked about it a lot but my husband and I are struggling to start a family. We’ve been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 years and have had a few medical issues to address, including a major surgery for myself. We became foster parents and had a few struggles with DCS and the placements that we’ve had. But through it all, I have to remind myself that everything is for a reason and we are where we are supposed to be when we’re supposed to be there. No matter the heartache in our process to add to our family, I know that I’m blessed and happy where we are! I remember that there is something for which to be thankful and I choose to find it every day!
So for the month of November, we have 30 days to be sincerely thankful! Find something every day to celebrate! I’d like to invite you to join me and find at least one thing to be thankful for each day 🙂
Print out the 30 Days of Thanks 2015 slips and remember to write down which day you’re tracking. The label is optional; you can put it on a jar or other container where you deposit your thanks each day. And if you happen to have a bad day where you’re struggling to find something for which to be thankful, draw some inspiration or encouragement from the previous days 🙂
Follow me on my Periscope channel to check in with me every day as I journal my personal month of thanks! I’ll be using the hashtag #30DaysOfThanks (yep, there are some others out there!)
If you’re on Periscope and want to participate with me, leave your handle in the comments (I’m @cawesomenessity) and I’ll make sure to follow you and celebrate in your joys too! If you’re blogging or just tweeting, leave that info below as well 🙂
