Sorry, Pandora recently graced me with a Toni Braxton throwback and that song is in my brain…
But it’s (almost) here! Valentine’s Day! I’m really happy to see that wives are participating and doing the 14 Days of Valentine’s Day for their husbands. If non-spouses are doing it as well, then kudos to you too 🙂 It’s so important that the person you love knows that you love them…
This year, I opted for 7 Days of Valentine’s Day. We’re supposed to be cutting back on spending and with all of the stuff I have going this month (events, birthday, driver’s license renewal, car tags, blah, blah, adulthood sucks, yadda, yadda…) I chose to be the responsible adult. Meh.
But nonetheless, I’m super excited to do this for my hubby.
So today is Day #1. He actually got his gift last night, because you know, it was midnight on the East coast.
The inspiration for this one was pretty simple. I wanted to do something a little more meaningful, so I used the “cents” theme and personalized it to show him I loved him specifically. I dug out some coins to hit the milestones in our relationship. I wanted to add coins for our birth years, but as it turns out, it’s incredibly difficult to find a coin from 1978. 1965? Abundant. And unnecessary in my time of need.
His response? “Now that’s a card!” He’s generally not a fan of cards, but this one scored some bonus points 🙂
Stay tuned for Day #2!
