A few months ago, I had the pleasure of helping a mom plan a Sweet 16 birthday party for her daughter. I’m always tickled at how small the world is. We met and got that familiar feeling; turns out that we trained under the same taekwondo instructor more than a decade ago! How nuts is that?!?
Anyway, we met and she gave me the instructions on what she wanted: Parisian and red.
This is my kind of client! I proposed some ideas, got the approval and went to work!
The birthday girl was so surprised! Mom was out of town on her actual birthday and she thought that everyone forgot about her. There may or may not have been tears of surprise and joy ๐
I teamed up with local vendors, a fellow dessert friend and online websites to pull the sweet selection together. Frost Bake Shop made this stunning Eiffel Tower cake and each tier was a deliciously different flavor. Fresh red roses were added for details.
I couldn’t possibly have a table without some sort of DIY element to it! I had her name custom made, inspired by a “Paris” sign that I came across while acquiring party stuff. Lauren of Ten23 Designs made this wooden creation from a sketch that I sent her. I spray painted it silver and then used glue to outline the Eiffel Tower and covered it in black glitter. The birthday girl took it home and displayed it in her room ๐
