King’s Hawaiian sliders are everything! One thing I love about Hawaii was the food. It doesn’t take much because I really love food, so of course when I travel, I try to make sure that I enjoy as much of the cuisine as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed fresh mandarines picked right off the trees at Akaka Falls, but totally opted out of the Spam combo at McDonald’s.
One of the most popular dishes to be influenced by the island are King’s Hawaiian Ham and Swiss Sliders. I’m sure they were created for a much higher purpose, but my life would be complete if I were only eating them straight out of the package. Maybe I mentioned that I have a slight carb addiction? It’s not at all been cured by this diet I’ve been on since May…21 days to change a habit my chunky butt…
I wanted to make a super easy snack for the Moana party and these sliders are really quick to do. They can be made in batches, prepped the night before and heated up right before the party for the perfect dish. Since I live in the South, there was no way that I could, in good conscience, make this without BBQ sauce.
There are just 6 steps to putting these yummy sliders together and they don’t take long at all:
